
The fourth day of Sharadiya Navratri is dedicated to Maa Kushmanda.
Significance: In this form, She creates the universe by liberating her power to Lord Sun in the form of light laughter.
Colour: Imbibe the colour Red on this day to initiate passion, auspiciousness as well as anger (that is required to uproot evil).
Mantra: ॐ देवी कुष्मांडये नमः | सुरासम्पूर्णकलशं रुधिराप्लुतमेव च | दधाना हस्तपद्माभ्यां | कूशमंदा शुभदास्तु मे
Translation: May Kushmanda Maa Durga who holds two pitchers full of blood in her lotus hands and the universe is created, sustained and drawn within Devi’s own self in a wink, be propitious for me.
